The Churchill Bowls Club was created in March 2007 with the objective of providing a diverse sporting and recreational activity for members of the Churchill and District community who were adverse to playing the more robust sporting pursuits.
On the 20th of September 2016 the club celebrated its official opening after 10 years of negotiations with Latrobe City Council who funded the $400.000.00 to construct the 40m x 40m synthetic green.
The Club prides itself on being a Gippsport Welcoming Inclusive Club and was the first Bowls club in the Latrobe Valley to achieve this position.
